Post 1: An Intro to my WLE: January 6th

I did not got to Job Shadow Day because the place where I am interning at hadn't emailed me back at the time. Katina is going to be my mentor at World Savvy. The organization that I am working for is a big organization that works with teens all over the place. It is located in San Francisco CA. I am not all the way sure what I will be doing yet, but I will soon find out. I got my internship through school and joel. We worked with world savvy at Impact Academy and I said a speech at a fundraiser to earn more money for world savvy.

Post 2: Job Shadow Day : January 20th

I arrived at 9:30 am and left at 3 pm.  I had to get on bart at 8: 19 and got off on Powell. Once I got off on Powell I had to walk for about 20 min. When I first got there, Katina, my mentor introduced me to all the other people that worked at the office and showed me around. After I got a tour of the building she showed me where my desk was. I was super excited when I seen I had my own desk and computer in a cubical. After I settled down I watched some videos so that I could get a better understanding of what my project was going to be focusing on and what world savvy has done in the past. After the videos I had to do some cards and decorate them as well. My very last assignment was to take some videos to the post office where I had to stand in line for a while. My Mentor is Katina the organization that I work for is World savvy, but I will be focusing on blogs for their magazine over the internet. The main office is located in San Francisco on Sutter st. So far my mentor Katina gave me an outline of all the stuff that I will be doing. I got my internship because I did a speech at their fundraiser and have gone to other of  thier exhibitions with Joel and other students.
